St. Francis. Oil on gold leaf - Work in progess. Both hands are now done except for adding the wounds of stigmata. (You can tell I'm putting that off!) The top hand proved to be much harder because in the original work the anatomy is wrong. Mine is based on the same hand position so the anatomy is off too but it is closer to the real thing. Hold your right hand up and you will see what I mean. Each hand is no bigger than the top of your 'pinky' finger! See his nails? I bought 4 new miniature paintbrushes for his face. Wish me luck!
